A Look Into The Adidas Early Bird Classic + Official Draw & Schedule

Etobicoke, ON – There’s a lot to get excited about when the Father Henry Carr Adidas Early Bird Classic comes around. You receive a true taste of the basketball season, a first look at some of the top teams and top players in Ontario.
Last Year the event saw the debut of 2014 star Andrew Wiggins, Wiggins stole the spot light taking Vaughan to a Championship victory. This time around things look a bit different, with Wiggins departure to Huntington over the summer Vaughan will defend their tittle with the leadership of 2013 guards and two of the top back courts in province Henry Tan and Troy Reid-Knight. Host team FHC lost Seina commit Richard Audu to REDA but will depend big time on their senior Tre Boutilier a 6-foot-5 SF who’s shown improvements on perimeter play, has slimmed down a bit to become lighter on his feet and more explosive off the dribble. PG Kenrick Lewis, the return of SG Josh Bell and upcoming juniors will boost the Crusaders. Under Coach Jeffers Eastern Commerce steady holds their ground as one of the top teams in the province they have one of the country’s top guards in Emmanuel Diressa, also expect eastern to use their talented underclassmen like James Sylvester, Rashawn Browne and Gavin Pearce amongst others. Mother Teresa, D’Youville, Pickering and J. Clarke Richardson are also team that capable of coming out this weekend with a championship.
