Khem Birch (Notre Dame Prep, Pitt commit., 6’9″, 2010lbs) sported long sleeves under his black jersey and used that to inspire him to a team leading 15 points on 5 of 11 shooting coming off the bench. Fellow Canadian Kyle Wiltjer (Jesuit, Kentuck commit. 6’9″, 221lbs) also impressed with and 11 point contribution.
What Toronto, ON native Myck Kabongo (Findlay Prep, Texas commit. 6’2″, 170lbs) lacked offensively while going 0-6 during the game, he made up for it by pushing the tempo of the game for his team during his 20 minutes on the floor. He set up a number of exciting alley-oop passes and led the game with 6 assists.
Birch really made a name for himself in this game, both north and south of the border with a strong all around effort. Beside his scoring contribution, he also led all players with 6 blocks and added 10 rebounds.
The game’s leading scorers were team East’s James McAdoo and Brad Beal, who each scored 17 for the winning squad.
