The average college freshman playing NCAA basketball rarely sees the court. It’s just the way it is. Such was the case for freshman Keaton Cole of Western Carolina. After leaving Toronto powerhouse Eastern Commerce where he enjoyed much success and all the playing time he could ask for, the first year point guard found himself at the end of the bench, frustrated to say the least.
Funny where a little patience and hard work can take you. After speaking to Keaton a few months ago I knew he would soon turn the corner. Anyone who knows him knows what kind of a work ethic and determination he possesses. He’s been told his entire life that he was to small to play at this level, so the fact that he’s even playing NCAA basketball is a testament to his character. From the first day he stepped foot on campus he has continued to work hard and remain positive no matter how difficult it may have been at times.
CROWN and The Hoop Factory (www.thehoopfactory.com) would like to send a very big and special shout out to Keaton Cole aka KK. Congrats on your 1st career start and the many more to follow.
