It was a slow start for these Grade Nine students as they looked rusty right from the jump. However, the game began picking up at the end of the half and then transferred into the second.

Point Guard Kenrick Lewis (MVP) of the Eastern Commerce Saints, the smallest player on the floor listed at 5’7″, took the lead; encouraging a 13-3 run for the black team, never looking back. As a freshman, growth is expected within the next 3 years of high school. If that doesn’t work out, he can always depend on his speed and shooting ability. You would think that his size would limit his range, but this kid was shooting 3-balls passed NBA range with ease. Although only scoring 9 points, Lewis had a huge impact on the game setting up his players with open threes and easy buckets in transition.

6’5″ star forward from Pickering High; Mikyle Mcintosh controlled the paint, posting 15 points for the black team. Arguably the top player in his class, Mcintosh proved it with the best of them. He posses great athleticism and good body control. There’s no telling what position he can end up playing, whatever it is though, it is unlikely that he will disappoint.

Black team MVP: Marcus Hanson – Gonzaga Secondary

For the white team, Miqueel Martin out of Downsview High school quietly scored a game-high 18 points.

Josh Bell (Father Henry Carr) and Damion Rashford (Pickering) chipped in with 14 and 12.

Final Score: 101-84 Black
