The Departure of the Class of 09′
Another season has come and went and the 2009 class has been no disappointment. Although not as deep as the 08’ class with less commitments to the NCAA, this group looks like it may have more of an immediate impact on their respected teams. The South has clearly taken notice of what Canada has to offer. Don’t be surprised if a swarm of top programs come back for more next year. It’s safe to say that the only way from here is up for Canadian basketball.

The CIS has also been revamped with the star-studded talent entering in the 09-10 season. Many of the CIS and JUCO commits have the potential to play in the NCAA, but they have either chosen to stay in Canada or have been playing under the radar. With this being said, look for the CIS to be as competitive as ever with solid young talent as building blocks for the future.
