Thompson And Joseph Could Make History

There has been some heavy rumors flying around recently, involving Canadian tag team Cory Joseph and Tristan Thompson being selected to participate in the prestigious McDonalds All American game that will be played March 31st. This could be a major accomplishment for Canadian basketball.

Cory Joseph who was featured in CROWN’s first magazine is a 6-foot-3 scoring point guard from Pickering, ON. Joseph took his game to Findlay prep in the fall 2008. Since then, he has worked hard and risen in many national player rankings. This heavily recruited guard will make a decision between Texas, Villanova, UNLV, Connecticut and Minnesota.

Thompson a 6-foot-10 power forward out of Brampton, ON has been deemed as a top prospect early on and was committed to the Texas Longhorns as a sophomore.

There are high expectations this season as Findlay prep pilots continue their search for back to back championship run. So far both players are doing an outstanding job guiding their team. Joseph is averaging 17.8ppg 4.9ast and 6.6rpg while Thompson puts up 16.2ppg and 9.5rpg.

To be even to be considered for an event such as the McDonalds All American Game which has a rich history is a great accomplishment.
