Hegwood Leads Ghosts to Calgary City Title

On March 12, 2011, the Bishop Grandin Ghosts beat the Father Lacombe Lasers 75-71 for the Calgary City Finals. The win for the Ghosts was led by John Hegwood Jr (2012, 6’3″, PG, AAU:Calgary Elite), who nailed six 3-pointers en route to a 27 point performance. The Ghosts were also helped by a 14 point contribution from Eddie Asamoah.

Mangk Awkl scored 19 in a losing cause for the Lasers, who, despite the loss will be headed to the upcoming Alberta provincial 4A championships in Edmonton.

The Ghosts claim the Division 1 title after loosing in the 2010 finals the year before.
