Juwan Brescacin Leads Culver to State Championship

On Saturday, March 19, 2011, Missisauga, ON native and Foward, Juwan Brescacin led the Culver Military Academy Eagles with 15 points in their 51-49 semistate win over Columbia city. The 6’6″, 215lbs senior, threw down game closing dunk to bring Culver up to by 5 within the last few seconds before Columbia returned a three ball to end the game.
Brescacin, who last year lettered in both football and basketball last season with the Eagles, is currently averaging 14.5 points, eight rebounds, two assists, and 2.5 steals this season. He will be looking to lead Culver(19-6) on to the 3-A state championship game on March 26, 2011 against the Washington Hatchets. The Hatchets are ranked number one this season and are the defending 3-A Indiana State high school basketball team.
Canadian guard Jermaine Myers also chipped in with 15 points.
