If the amount of honours one is given exceeds their age, then it is safe to say they are talented, and talented seems to just skim the surface of Grandy Glaze. The Brampton, Ontario native, who previously suited up for St. Edmond Campion as well as CIA Bounce, is now entering his sophomore season at St. John’s Catholic Prep in Frederick, Maryland. Glaze is not the only Bounce player who is now attending St. John’s, fellow team mate Kevin Thomas is also on the roster.

The jump from Canadian basketball to American has done nothing but improve Glaze’s game. In his freshman season with St. John’s, Glaze was listed as one of the top freshman forwards on ESPN.com. The list of his accomplishments is never ending, as Glaze was named MVP at the All-Canada Basketball Camp, MVP at UNLV Elite Camp, and being ranked 17th on the Hoop Scoops Rankings of the top 500 in the Class of 2011.

At 6’6″ with a soft touch around the basket, solid post moves, a decent mid-range, aggressiveness and solid defence, Glaze can only improve. He is already being looked at by some Major D1 schools, including Georgetown, UCLA, Florida and Wake Forest to name a few. If his sophomore season is anything like his freshman, Glaze will be gracing the top of all the 2011 Class lists once again.
