New Year, New Location For Tanveer Bhullar

Tanveer Bhullar of Team Takeover Canada, will now be taking his talents to South Beach. Well, not that far south, but within the state of Florida nonetheless. In the next couple days the 7-foot-2 big man is scheduled to report to the Montverde Academy in Florida. The move lands the center with the Eagles that are off to a 14-4 start this season.
After originally starting off the season by returning for his second campaign at Kiski Prep, along his brother Sim and fellow Canadian Stefan Jankovic, all three had decided on leaving the Kiski Cougars Prep program. Sim and Jankovic found their way to Huntington Prep and joined fellow AAU Team Takeover teammate Negus Webster-Chan. In the meantime, additional care was exercised with Tanveer to find a fit that was just right for him and his growth. After sharing minutes in his older brother’s shadow at Kiski, it appears as though Tanveer is set to blaze a trail for himself in Florida. With Montverde’s current seven footer now a senior, Tanveer, who is only a Sophomore, appears to be poised to be ready to have an opportunity to pick up the mantle when the time comes.
The Montverde Eagles, last year’s ESPN Rise runner-ups, will be getting their hands on a serviceable big man who’s skill level over the past couple of seasons has grown tremendously. After showcasing his skills this past summer on the AAU circuit with Team Takeover Canada, Bhullar’s stock has been on the rise and many of the top Division 1 schools have been noticing, including garnering interest from Texas, Georgetown, Ohio State and Kentucky among a dozen other suitors. Tanveer’s hard work has also started showing signs of paying off as he has even managed to pick up an offer from Seton Hall.
