Richard Peters To Washington State

Big man Richard Peters ended his recruitment this afternoon by committing Washington State to compete in the Pac 12.
The 6-foot-10 Center is a Pickering, ON native currently attending Westwind Prep in Phoenix, Arizona.
A former Oklahoma commit, was recently being recruited by a group of high majors as Washington, Seton Hall, Marquette, Texas Tech and Clemson but felt extremely comfortable and was ready to make his final decision after officially visiting Washington State last weekend.
“The visit was hella good felt like part of the team already, they got both majors I want to take.” He said “The team ıs good and there’s a need for a player like me a down low.”
Now that Peters has his recruitment out the way, he’s on a mission to improve the Cougars roster any way possible. He has his eyes set on his Westwind Prep teammate and good friend Demarquise “Q” Johnson, a 6-foot-6 high level shooting guard who also holds an offer from the Cougars in the same recruiting class.
“They [also] need a scorer like my teammate Q Johnson, I just gotta recruit him now. I’m bringing Q Johnson with me to the state” he says with confidence.
Peters was part of the CIA Bounce team that took part in the EYBL this past summer and was on the Canadin Junior National team that captured Bronze last summer.
