Shayok Shayok Commits To Bradley

“Bradley has been recruiting me since [last] summer… I visited like a month ago… It was good, got a chance to get a feel of the school as well as coaches and players” he said. “I have a chance to play a lot of minutes….I have a good relationship with the coaches where I trust them and they believe in my abilities.”
Texas Tech, Detroit, Tulane and Valparaiso were also in the running for the athletic slashing wing player before he decided to sign with the Braves.
“I feel really good about the direction of the program and feel I can make an immediate impact as a freshman and the coaches are going to help me improve on my game. There is a family atmosphere at Bradley”
For the second year straight IMG Academy sends a Canadian to the division 1 ranks. Last year Dwight Powell headed to Stanford from the school, they also feature 2013 guard Filip Music on the roster.
Shayok Shayok is athletic long and is at his best when making moves to the basket. With good ball handles on the perimeter, he has the ability to create for himself and others and is a very consistent hitter from the mid range area. Still has room for improvement and the college level will give him an opportunity to work and fill in the gaps.
We’ll have a chance to continue tracking his younger brother Marial Shayok who’ll be running with the Ottawa Guardsmen this weekend at the provincial championships. Marial is looking like a promising talent also, in the 2014 class who may end up being better than his older brother. You can clearly see by watching Marial play, who he has molded his game after, his older brother Shayok.
